Cal coach Jack Clark will be inducted into the U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame, the United States Rugby Football Federation announced. The induction ceremony is June 7 in Houston.

In his 31st year as coach of the Bears, Clark has led the program to 22 national collegiate titles in 15s and, in 2013, its first collegiate sevens title in the Olympic version of rugby. His teams have produced 126 All-Americans and 36 players who have played for the U.S team. He entered the this spring season with a collegiate coaching record of 559-71-5 in 15s and 45-11 in sevens, all at Cal.

  • Stanford senior opposite Eric Mochalski has been named the men's Division I-II National Player of the Week. Mochalski led the Cardinal to a pair of MPSF sweeps over UC San Diego and No. 9 UC Irvine. He averaged a team-best 3.60 kills per set.

  • Cal women's tennis player Zsofi Susanyi earned the Pac-12 Player of the Week honor after leading the Bears to the semifinals of the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championships. The junior won her three matches at Charlottesville, Va.

  • Senior Dalan Refioglu led the Saint Mary's golf team in its first event of the spring season, firing a 4-over par 220 at The Farms Collegiate Invitational at The Farms Golf Club at Rancho Santa Fe.

    The Gaels finished sixth among the 12-team field, three strokes behind defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Duke. SMC finished the 54-hole event with a 26-over par 890 after shooting an 8-over 296 in the final round.

    A final-round 303 dropped Santa Clara to seventh place at the event. Tyler Kertson and Drew Miller were the Broncos' top individual finishers, tying for 17th.

  • Taylore Jaques of San Jose (Presentation) and Frank Kurtz of Brentwood (Heritage) were among the 20-member recruiting class announced by Chris Miltenberg, Stanford's director of track and field. Jaques won the state title as a sophomore with a personal-best pole vault of 13-4¼.

    Kurtz is the state's No. 2-ranked quartermiler and No. 8 in the nation.

  • San Jose State University softball players Allison Lang (pitcher) and Jessie Hufstetler (hitter) took Mountain West Pitcher and Player of the Week honors for their performances at the Kajikawa Classic.
