Jasmine Smith scored 19 points and Riana Byrd grabbed 20 rebounds to help San Jose State upset Mountain West regular-season champions Colorado State 65-64 at the Event Center on Tuesday night.

There were 15 lead changes and five ties as SJSU (11-17, 5-12 MWC) snapped a four-game losing streak. CSU (22-6, 14-3) lost for the second time in three games but has clinched the MW title.

AJ Newton, a Valley Christian High product and former Spartan, scored 13 points for the Rams.

Pac-12 honors: Stanford's Chiney Ogwumike repeated as Pac-12 Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, and Tara VanDerveer was voted Coach of the Year to headline the conference's awards that were announced Tuesday.

Joining Ogwumike on the 15-player All-Pac-12 team were teammate Amber Orrange and Cal's Brittany Boyd and Reshanda Gray.

Stanford's Lili Thompson was named to the All-Freshman team.

Washington's Jazmine Davis, a San Jose native, earned a spot on the All-Pac-12 team for a third consecutive season.

VanDerveer earned the Coach of the Year honor for the fourth straight season and the 14th time overall.

Oregon: The school announced it won't renew the contract of coach Paul Westhead when it expires at the end of the month.

Men

Florida 72, South Carolina 46: Michael Frazier II set a Florida record with 11 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 37 points for the top-ranked Gators. Florida has won a school-record 22 straight games to move within one win of a perfect Southeastern Conference regular season.

Georgia Tech 67, Syracuse 62: Trae Golden scored 16 points, including six clutch free throws in the final seconds to stun struggling Syracuse.

The seventh-ranked Orangemen have lost four of five after opening the season with 25 straight wins and spending three weeks at No. 1.
