Doug McDermott had another night of milestones -- and 32 more points -- and No. 14 Creighton reached the Big East tournament final in its first year in the conference with an 86-78 win over Xavier in New York on Friday night.

The Bluejays (26-6) face Providence on Saturday.

McDermott, the nation's leading scorer (26.5 per game) has 3,078 career points and moved into fifth place in NCAA Division I history, passing Harry "Machine Gun" Kelly of Texas Southern (3,066) and Keydren Clark of Saint Peter's (3,058). Next up is Alfonso Ford of Mississippi Valley State (3,165).

San Diego State 59, UNLV 51: Dwayne Polee II had 18 points to lead the No. 8 Aztecs (29-3) over the Rebels (20-13) at the Mountain West tournament in Las Vegas. San Diego State used a 19-9 run to open up a 48-33 lead with 8:13 left. Cameron Bairstow had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 20 New Mexico (26-8) to a 70-67 win over Boise State (21-13) in the other semifinal.

Duke 63, Clemson 62: Rodney Hood hit two free throws with 3.8 seconds left to lift the No. 7 Blue Devils (25-7) past the Tigers (20-12) in an ACC quarterfinal. Jabari Parker had 18 points and Hood 17 for Duke, which plays North Carolina State on Saturday. T.J. Warren had 28 points, and Ralston Turner banked in the go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:28 left to help the Wolfpack (21-12) to a 66-63 upset of No. 11 Syracuse (27-5). Talib Zanna had 19 points and 21 rebounds to help Pittsburgh (25-8) to an 80-75 upset of No. 15 North Carolina (23-9). Joe Harris had 20 points, and No. 6 Virginia (26-6) beat Florida State (19-13) 64-51 in the other quarterfinal.

Michigan 64, Illinois 63: Jordan Morgan scored on a layup with 7.9 seconds left, giving the No. 8 Wolverines (24-7) a win over the Illini (19-14) in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament. Illinois had a chance to win but Tracy Abrams' shot bounced off the front of the rim as the buzzer sounded. Michigan, which won despite scoring six points in the final 7½ minutes, plays Ohio State on Saturday. The No. 24 Buckeyes (25-8) posted a 71-67 win over Nebraska (19-12). In the other quarterfinals, No. 12 Wisconsin (26-6) routed Minnesota 83-57, and No. 22 Michigan State (24-7) beat Northwestern 67-51.

Florida 72, Missouri 49: Scottie Wilbekin scored 15 points and the No. 1 Gators (30-2) used a second-half spurt to rout the Tigers (22-11) in an SEC quarterfinal. The game was tied 29-29 at halftime. The Gators play Tennessee on Saturday. Oakland native Jabari Brown had 18 points for Missouri.

Iowa State 94, Kansas 83: Georges Niang had 25 points before leaving with a bloody gash to his forehead in the closing minutes, and the No. 16 Cyclones (25-8) beat the No. 10 Jayhawks (24-9) in a Big 12 semifinal. Iowa State plays Baylor on Saturday.
