Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left in the eighth inning and appeared to slightly limp as he walked off the field. He said he hit his left foot on a backswing and was OK.

Rays 8, Red Sox 5: Pinch-hitter Sean Rodriguez hit a tiebreaking, three-run homer in the seventh inning to help Tampa Bay send Boston to its 10th straight loss.

Brewers 7, Marlins 1: Ryan Braun had four hits, and Jimmy Nelson pitched 52/3 scoreless innings in his season debut for Milwaukee. The Brewers' top prospect was recalled from Double-A Huntsville to start for Yovani Gallardo (sore left ankle).

Rangers 12, Tigers 4: Alex Rios tripled and drove in three runs, and Texas scored nine runs (six earned) against Justin Verlander.

Nationals 5, Pirates 2: Ian Desmond hit a pair of RBI singles, helping Washington end a four-game losing streak.

Orioles 4, Indians 2: Manny Machado and Nelson Cruz homered to power Baltimore.

Padres 4, Cubs 3: Ian Kennedy pitched six strong innings for San Diego.

Yankees 7, White Sox 1: Derek Jeter had four hits as New York beat Chicago.

Angels 4, Royals 3: Chris Iannetta hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning to boost Los Angeles.

Astros 4, Mariners 1: Dallas Keuchel pitched a four-hitter for his second complete game in his last three starts for Houston.

Cardinals 4, Reds 0: Adam Wainwright struck out 12 in eight innings as the St. Louis ace earned his eighth win.

Mets, Diamondbacks split: Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched six solid innings in his first start of the season and helped out with an RBI single as New York won the nightcap 4-2. Arizona turned five double plays in winning the first game 2-1.
