Stanford pitcher Cal Quantrill was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and was among seven Cardinal players who received All-Pac-12 honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

Junior third baseman Alex Blandino, senior first baseman Danny Diekroeger, junior left-handed pitcher John Hochstatter, junior outfielder Austin Slater and right-hander Quantrill were on the all-conference team, while sophomore outfielder Zach Hoffpauir and senior right-handed pitcher A.J. Vanegas were named honorable mention.

Cal senior Devon Rodriguez was named to the first team as the designated hitter. Bears senior right-handed pitcher Trevor Hildenberger and junior outfielder Derek Campbell were selected as honorable mention.

  • Senior Kristie Ahn was Stanford's lone representative on the All-Pac-12 women's tennis first team. Freshman Carol Zhao was named to the second team, and freshman Taylor Davidson and sophomore Krista Hardebeck were honorable mention.

    Cal senior Anett Schutting and freshman Denise Starr were named to the first team, and Cal's Amanda Augustus was voted Coach of the Year. Bears sophomore Lynn Chi and junior Zsofi Susanyi were named to the second team. Sophomore Klara Fabikova was named honorable mention.

  • Cal senior Ben McLachlan was named to the All-Pac-12 men's tennis first team. Stanford junior John Morrissey was selected for the second team. Cal freshman Andre Goransson and senior Campbell Johnson were named honorable mention.

  • Stanford junior midfielder Hannah Farr was named second-team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

    San Jose Giants

    Brian Ragira hit a two-run homer for the San Jose Giants in the eighth inning, but that accounted for all their runs in a 10-2 loss to the host Stockton Ports. Bobby Crocker hit two home runs for the Ports, and Billy McKinney and Ryon Healy each hit one.
