Saturday's HIGHLIGHTS

Yankees 3, Twins 1: Masahiro Tanaka (8-1) allowed only an unearned run in eight innings, and Brian McCann lined a go-ahead double in the eighth inning for New York. Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira left in the sixth inning because of inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist and is expected to miss two more games. Teixeira missed three games last week because of soreness in the wrist.

Reds 5, Diamondbacks 0: Brandon Phillips had two run-scoring singles off Arizona starter Brandon McCarthy (1-7), and Cincinnati got a strong start from Johnny Cueto. The Diamondbacks lost center fielder A.J. Pollock to a broken right hand when he was hit swinging at a pitch by Cueto in the eighth inning.

Orioles 4, Astros 1: Nelson Cruz hit his major league-leading 20th home run to help Baltimore end Houston's winning streak at seven games. Cruz had three RBIs, giving him 52 on the season.

Indians 7, Rockies 6: Mike Aviles hit a three-run homer in the second inning and added the go-ahead single in the eighth to lift Cleveland.

Blue Jays 12, Royals 2: Juan Francisco had three hits and four RBIs, Marcus Stroman won his first career start, and Toronto used a seven-run first to rout Kansas City.

Nationals 10, Rangers 2: Anthony Rendon, Adam LaRoche, Jose Lobaton and Scott Hairston homered to power Washington.

Padres 4, White Sox 2: Will Venable had a season-high four hits and drove in two runs to spark San Diego.

Red Sox 7, Rays 1: Rubby De La Rosa pitched seven shutout innings in his first big league start in nearly three years, Brock Holt hit his first career homer, and Boston won its sixth straight.

Dodgers 12, Pirates 2: Hanley Ramirez homered twice and drove in five runs to lead Los Angeles.

Mariners 3, Tigers 2: Willie Bloomquist had two two-out RBI singles to boost Seattle.
