Rangers 6, Marlins 0: Yu Darvish pitched his first complete game in the majors, Shin-Soo Choo hit a three-run double, and Texas ended Miami's interleague winning streak at 13 games.

Rays 6, Cardinals 3: Desmond Jennings had a two-run single during a four-run fourth, and Tampa Bay snapped a club-record 31-inning scoring drought. Grant Balfour pitched the final 21/3 innings for his 10th save.

  • An MRI exam of Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright's right elbow showed no structural damage. Wainwright said he has been battling tendinitis for the past few weeks.

    Pirates 4, Cubs 2: Andrew McCutchen homered to power Pittsburgh.

  • Pirates left-hander Francisco Liriano went on the disabled list because of a strained left oblique.

    Twins 7, Blue Jays 2: Josh Willingham hit a two-run homer, and Kendrys Morales had three hits for Minnesota.

  • The Twins signed outfielder Andres Torres to a minor league contract. Torres, 36, played in 103 games for the Giants in 2013 before having season-ending surgery on his left Achilles tendon.
