Free agent center Spencer Hawes has agreed to a four-year, $23 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, sources confirmed to ESPN.com Friday.

Hawes, 26, averaged 13.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last season with the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Almost as important for the Clippers, Hawes hit better than 41 percent from 3-point range and nearly 45 percent while he was in Cleveland.

James update: The agent for LeBron James has met this week with officials from the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and James' home state Cavaliers, sources close to the process told ESPN.com.

In addition, Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak flew to Cleveland on Thursday night and met with agent Rich Paul on Friday morning, a source confirmed to ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

Gasol update: Free agent center Pau Gasol will meet with the Miami Heat in Los Angeles, a source told ESPN.com. The website reported that the Chicago Bulls met with Gasol on Thursday and that the Oklahoma City Thunder duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook made a face-to-face pitch Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Bulls: Chicago might be close to landing what it believes is a major addition as it works to secure 2011 first-round draft pick Nikola Mirotic, sources told ESPN.com. Known for his shooting touch, the 6-foot-10 Mirotic secured a buyout Thursday for $3 million with Real Madrid, according to several reports in Europe.

Trail Blazers: Free agent center Chris Kaman has agreed to a two-year deal worth a reported $9.8 million with Portland, a person with knowledge of the negotiations confirmed.

Spurs: The team says Manu Ginobili has a stress fracture of the lower fibula of his right leg. The injury could knock the key reserve for NBA champion San Antonio out of the upcoming World Cup of Basketball, where he was scheduled to play for Argentina.
