Former San Jose State All-American defensive back Dwight Lowery has been sidelined with the Atlanta Falcons while recovering from a concussion he suffered during a workout Friday.
The concussion is the fourth since college for Lowery, according to ESPN.com. He suffered a season-ending concussion in Week 3 last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lowery, expected to start at free safety for the Falcons, is in his seventh NFL season.
Atlanta coach Mike Smith said Lowery, "is in the concussion protocol. We don't think it's very serious. But that's where he is right now."
Elijah Ricks had three hits and drove in three runs as Pacifica American defeated Arizona's Chandler National 7-3 at the Little League West Regional in San Bernardino on Saturday. Pacifica, now 1-1 in the tournament, plays Tuesday at 11 a.m. against Nevada.
