Jim Harbaugh will get another crack at coaching first base, but this time may do it for both the Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Pirates in the same game.

With the University of Michigan practicing at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., next week, Harbaugh will work at first base for the Detroit Tigers when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates in a spring training game, according to the Detroit News.

The former 49ers coach worked at first base for the A's last March. The twist this time is that Clint Hurdle, the Pittsburgh manager and a big Michigan fan, may also recruit Harbaugh to coach an inning for the Pirates as well.

At the very least, Hurdle hopes Harbaugh will talk to his team before the game.

After Harbaugh threw out the first pitch at Comerica Park last season, he said at a news conference, ``I really wanted to be a major league shortstop or a pitcher or a catcher. Be a big leaguer.''
