Ted Nugent's wife Shemane Deziel was arrested Thursday at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport because she brought a gun into the terminal, according to TMZ.
Good thinking. They love that sort of thing at airports.
It wasn't known whether Nugent, her gun-loving husband, was with her at the time.
Deziel reportedly accidentally carried the loaded handgun through airport security. A police report said she had the gun because she has received death threats. The gun was found in her carry-on bag.
According to TMZ, TSA screeners said they spotted the Smith & Wesson .38 special revolver on an X-ray monitor, and when police inspected Deziel's luggage, they noticed it was loaded with 5 rounds of ammunition with an additional 10 rounds packed in a side pocket of her bag.
Deziel said she forgot about the gun and that she had a concealed handgun license in Texas.
Isn't that kind of like having a driver's license in California?
Deziel reportedly didn't detail who she was getting death threats from or why.
The pair has been married since 1989 and have one child together. They reportedly met when Nugent was a guest on a Detroit radio station, where she worked on the news team.
