Amanda Bynes' lawyer told a judge Tuesday that Bynes is not fit for trail, according to TMZ.

Bynes was supposed to show up in a Los Angeles courtroom for a hearing in her April 2012 DUI case. Instead, her attorney Rich Hutton appeared and said Bynes does not have the mental capacity to understand the nature of the proceedings.

Bynes remains under long-term mental health treatment in Southern California, after last summer's incident in which she lit a fire on someone's driveway near her parents' Southern California home. She has since been placed in a conservatorship, which means her financial and legal affairs are being overseen by her mother.

TMZ reported that Los Angeles judge on Tuesday turned the matter over to a court that deals with mental health issues, where a different judge will conduct a hearing to determine Bynes' mental competency.

Sadly, that's probably going to be one short hearing.
