"Hawaii Five-0" (9 p.m., CBS): In an unusually powerful episode, a murder attempt is made on a Pearl Harbor veteran and the case leads the team to focus on a shameful piece of American history: The imprisonment of residents of Japanese ancestry during World War II.
"Grimm" (9 p.m., NBC): Fans get a double dose of fright tonight. In the first of back-to-back episodes, Nick (David Giuntoli) investigates an urban legend based on Portland's sewers (Can you say "hungry humanoid alligators"?). The second features a huge horned demon in a Santa suit. Tis the season to be scary.
"Raising Hope" (9 p.m., Fox): Burt (Garret Dillahunt) becomes interim mayor of Natesville and gets rather Grinchy in the process as he faces the unpleasant prospect of canceling the town's Christmas festival.
