The Bay Area is set to take South by Southwest by storm.
There are more than 40 local acts being showcased at the prestigious music festival and conference, which runs March 11-16 in lovely Austin, Texas.
In honor of the occasion, we're profiling some of the Bay Area acts headed for Texas.
This time around, we spotlight San Francisco's Giraffage and Oakland's Tumbleweed Wanderers.
Giraffage -- The San Francisco producer, whose real name is Charlie Yin, is doing fantastic things in the electronic music realm. He's a wizard at finding seemingly incompatible grooves and beats and then making them fit together like perfect pieces of a puzzle.

Tumbleweed Wanderers -- This Oakland rock troupe has many musical flavors, all of which smack of the 1970s. They can rock with the Doobie Brothers, soar with the Eagles and purr like Cat Stevens. They would've been huge back in the days of AM pop radio.
