"Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin says he may want to finish the popular HBO series with a feature film.

Two million nerds just reached for their inhalers.

"It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin told the Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, following the premiere of Season 4 in New York. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger. It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."

So would Martin's checks.

Martin also reportedly said another film possibility could be based on "Tales of Dunk and Egg," a trilogy Martin wrote based in his mythical world of Westeros 90, years before "Game of Thrones."

"They could be the basis for (a film)," Martin said. "I have written these three stories, and I have about a dozen more."

Go ahead, take another hit on the inhaler. No one can blame you -- those dragons are pretty awesome.
