Guess that feud between Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Kim Kardashian is over.

Drat it all.

Nearly two years after Kardashian was banned from the all-important (to some people) Met Costume Institute Gala by Wintour, the fashion icon has extended Kardashian the ultimate olive branch -- letting her grace the cover of Vogue. Kim, along with her fiance Kanye West (you've heard of him, no?) appear on the cover of the magazine's April issue.

Reportedly West had been courting (or badgering) Wintour for months to land the cover photo.

But Wintour on Friday was having none of that talk. She says the idea was hers and that it's a good one.

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it," Wintour, 64, wrote in a statement. "I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)"

Hey, the Ice Lady made a funny!

"As for the cover," Wintour adds, "my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancee on Vogue's cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn't true."

Maybe not, but West has certainly spoken out about the matter.

"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue," West told Ryan Seacrest in October 2013. "She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday ... and collectively we're the most influential with clothing."

The Vogue cover shot, meant to resemble a wedding photo, features Kim in a billowing, strapless Lanvin wedding dress with a slicked back, low bun, smoky eyes, and au natural makeup, is how E! Online describes it. In the inside photo spread, reportedly, Kardashian models wedding gowns and the couple poses with 9-month-old daughter North.
