Former television judge Joe Brown was arrested for ... wait for it ... contempt of court after allegedly blowing up in a Memphis juvenile court, according to TMZ.

Sometimes irony can be so ironic.

Brown was in court Monday to represent someone in a child support case, only to discover the court staff had no record of his case.

Brown reportedly lost his temper and became verbally abusive, despite being warned several times to quiet down.

TMZ reported Brown -- who is running for D.A. of Shelby County, Tennessee -- was "playing to the peanut gallery" and "incited a near riot."

A peanut riot?

Brown supposedly ignored the judge and was arrested for contempt of court.

Brown initially got two days in the slammer, but stretched it to three by continuing to yell as he was being removed from the courtroom.
