Jennifer Nettles, the lead vocalist of the multiplatinum country act Sugarland, is on the road in support of her new solo album, "That Girl."
The album was produced by Rick Rubin, the genius who's helped craft acclaimed albums for the likes of Johnny Cash, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Slayer. Nettles co-wrote nine of the albums' 11 cuts, penned another on her own and filled out the track listing by covering Bob Seger's mighty "Like a Rock."
Nettles performs March 27 at the City National Civic in San Jose. Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets are $45-$55, www.ticketmaster.com.
