Frankie Carbone got pinched.

Frank Sivero -- aka Genco Abbandando in "The Godfather Part II" and Frankie Carbone in "Goodfellas" -- got pinched for real March 17 by Los Angeles police for allegedly carrying a loaded weapon in public,

But the actor told TMZ something about the arrest was fishy. Not like "Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes" fishy, but kind of weird nonetheless. Sivero told the website he was escorting a lady friend out of his North Hollywood building just after 2 a.m. and happened to grab a jacket with a .38 special that Sivero said he found a few years ago.

Of course, he found it. Heeey, aah, fughetaboudit.

Sivero said officers were waiting for him when they reached the lobby, and he doesn't know why.

Maybe they wanted to arrest him for being in two Adam Sandler movies.

Sivero said the police grabbed him, hauled him outside, searched him and found the gun. You know, the one he "found" a few years ago that he "accidentally" had in his coat, badda-bing, badda-bang.

Sivero was taken to jail and released several days later, TMZ said.

At least he didn't end up on a meat hook in a freezer truck.
