Disney's musical-comedy "Frozen" is officially the highest grossing animated film of all-time, according to Rolling Stone.
After hitting the billion-dollar mark after a strong opening in Japan last weekend, the Oscar-winning film has now grossed $1.072 billion worldwide ($398 million domestically, $674 million internationally).
"Frozen" has officially passed former No. 1, 2010's Disney/Pixar's "Toy Story 3," which grossed $1.063 billion.
The film debuted in the U.S. in November and came out on DVD and Blu-ray earlier this month. Oscar voters gave statues to "Frozen" for best animated film and original song ("Let It Go").
Great. Now that's in my head again.
Rolling Stone said the movie's soundtrack has also done well in a year that hasn't been kind as far as record sales, spending seven weeks atop the charts.
