  • "The Tom & Jerry Show" (5:30 p.m., Cartoon Network): The chase is back on. Seventy-four years after first appearing on movie screens, Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse are back to resume their animated rivalry in this contemporary reboot. Are their pratfalls still as funny?

  • "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (10 p.m., CBS): This drama has explored lots of icky fetishes over the years, but things get really tasteless tonight when the team tries to hunt down a killer who eats his victims. Bon appetit?

  • "Your Inner Fish" (10 p.m., PBS): In this three-part series, scientist Neil Shubin uses fossils, graphics and visits with people around the world to trace humankind's family tree back to the water. Among those prominently featured: UC Berkeley paleontologist Tim White.
