One Direction is no longer going in one direction.
The British boy band has decided to call it quits permanently, five months after saying they would go on hiatus in March, according to Us Weekly
Great. Now I have to take down all my posters.
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan all reportedly want solo careers. Zayn Malik left the group for the same reason last March.
The guys decided "not to renew their recording contract," a source told Us Weekly. The group -- which started on Simon Cowell's "The X-Factor" show in 2010 -- just finished a tour in October. "The 1D thing just ran its course," the source said. "They'll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers."
Another source reportedly said, "Liam is really interested in songwriting and production," and "Harry is launching a career in acting and singing."
