STANFORD'S 2013 RECRUITING CLASS

The Cardinal has received 12 letters of intent.

Here are the official recruits:

  • Sean Barton, ILB, North Salt Lake, UT; 6-3 220; Expected to take two-year church mission, then enroll.

  • David Bright, OG, Yorba Linda, 6-5 290; Mater Dei prospect with nasty streak picked Stanford over Wisconsin

  • Ryan Burns, QB, Leesburg, VA, 6-5 225; Same area (different high school) as sophomore cornerback Alex Carter.

  • Eric Cotton, TE, Nampa, ID; 6-6 235; It's 20 miles west of Boise with 80,000 residents (approx.) and an Olive Garden.

  • Austin Hooper, TE, San Ramon; 6-4 245; By all accounts, an absolute stud. Picked Stanford over Washington.

  • Peter Kalambayi, OLB, Matthews, N.C.; 6-3 240; No. 6 middle linebacker in the nation, top-rated player in Stanford's class

  • Thomas Oser, OG/C, Los Angeles, 6-5 290, Versatile lineman rated the state's No. 50 overall prospect by Rivals.

  • Francis Owusu, WR, Oxnard, 6-3 193; Younger brother of former Stanford receiver Chris Owusu.

  • Kevin Palma, ILB, Pixley, 6-2 240; Area of need with Trent Murphy and Shayne Skov entering their last year.

  • Greg Taboada, TE Atlanta, 6-5 235; "After the 2012 Stanford-Oregon game, I realized Stanford was the team ..."

  • Taijuan Thomas, WR, Monroe, LA, 5-10 185; Twitter handle is @TopnotchThomas, and Cardinal could use the help.
