The Cal baseball team (4-3) split a doubleheader at No. 25 UC Irvine (4-1), winning the first game 8-6 behind a four-run ninth inning before falling 4-3 in 10 innings. San Jose State (2-4) trailed 10-0 after two innings in a 15-4 road baseball loss to No. 10 Arizona (6-1). The host Saint Mary's baseball team (3-3) beat Chicago State 3-2. DonAndre Clark scored twice for Saint Mary's, including the go-ahead run in the eighth on a fielder's choice. The host Santa Clara baseball team (3-4) split a doubleheader with Illinois-Chicago (3-3), winning 10-3 and losing 15-8 in Game 2. Freshman Kelsey Stevens pitched her first perfect game as the No. 17 Stanford softball team (12-3) blanked Virginia 4-0 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City. Stevens (7-1) finished with 10 strikeouts and has pitched 302/3 consecutive scoreless innings. The Cavaliers dropped to 6-7. The San Jose State softball team (9-7) beat Saint Mary's 10-2 and Idaho State 9-1 to finish 4-0 in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. The Gaels fell to 1-8 after being no-hit in a 4-0 loss to Fresno State in their second game. The No. 2-ranked Cal men's swimming and diving team upended No. 7 Stanford 139-104 at Spieker Aquatics Complex to finish 7-0 in the 2012-13 dual meet season and defeat the Cardinal for the first time since 2005. Stanford closes the regular season at 4-2 (2-2 Pac-12). Cal finished 4-0 in Pac-12 action. The Cal rugby team defeated host UCLA 75-22, outscoring the Bruins 49-0 in a 46-minute span. The Bears improved to 12-0 (2-0 PAC Rugby Conference), and UCLA is 6-3 and 0-1. Seventh-ranked and host Cal (4-3) defeated sixth-ranked USC 5-2 in nonconference women's tennis. The Trojans fell to 8-2. The No. 13 Stanford women's tennis team defeated No. 18 Clemson 5-2 in Gainesville, Fla. The Cardinal faces No. 4 Florida on Sunday.
