BRENTWOOD -- Drivers headed down Highway 4 near Sand Creek Road in the wee hours of the morning should add a few more minutes to their travel plans the next few days.
The contractor for a project to add an interchange at Highway 4 and Sand Creek will be performing traffic control and flagging operations while work is done to improve storm drains in the area, according to a Contra Costa Transportation Authority news release.
Slowing down traffic is meant to ensure the safety of both the works and public, the authority said.
The traffic controls will be from 10 p.m. Thursday night to 4 a.m. Friday morning; 11 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, and 11 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday.
