RICHMOND — One person suffered minor injuries during an early morning two-vehicle crash Thursday on Interstate 80 in East Richmond, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers were dispatched at 5:50 a.m. to westbound I-80 between Barrett Avenue and Cutting Boulevard for a report of an injury crash involving two cars, said Officer Kevin Bartlett.
Officers were still on scene as of 7:35 a.m., but all lanes of traffic were open.
A preliminary investigation revealed a Mazda Miata and a Toyota Camry collided and that a passenger in the Miata suffered minor injuries, Bartlett said.
The person was taken by ambulance to Doctor's Medical Center in San Pablo to be treated for pain, officers said.
At least one car was towed from the scene.
