CONCORD -- A mother riding BART with her two children was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment Monday night after a fellow passenger reported she was drunk and causing a disturbance, police said.
Officers responded to the Concord BART station around 8:43 p.m. and temporarily stopped a Pittsburg-bound train, according to BART police.
The woman and her two children, ages two and three, were escorted off the train. The mother, who has not been identified, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and taken to the County Jail in Martinez. Police added that the woman had prior child endangerment arrests on her record.
Her two children were turned over to a relative on Monday night.
