BRAVES UPDATE
The A's will see a few familiar faces in their first interleague series of the season. Hudson gets his first start against his former team Saturday. Also, Mark Kotsay, traded to Atlanta in the offseason, has settled in nicely as the Braves' starting center fielder. ... The Atlanta player creating the most attention is third baseman Chipper Jones, off to the best start of his career at age 36. He leads the major leagues with a .418 average and has 11 home runs and 32 RBI. Jones, though, was held out of the lineup Thursday against Philadelphia because of a sore groin. ... First baseman Mark Teixeira returned to Atlanta's lineup Wednesday after missing two games with back spasms.
