LIVERMORE — Newly elected Rep. John Garamendi will host his first town hall meeting Thursday.

The focus of the meeting, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Livermore city council chambers, will be economic development and job creation. The public is invited to come meet the congressman and ask questions.

The council chambers are located at 3575 Pacific Ave., Livermore. Garamendi, whose Distyrict 10 stretches from Livermore to Walnut Creek, Antioch and Fairfield, will host four additional town halls throughout the district in December.
