Gray, an adult male cat is one of the many adorable pets available for adoption at the City of Tracy Animal Shelter, 370 Arbor Road.

He has been neutered and declawed and is very friendly.

The shelter offers adoptions of stray or abandoned puppies/kittens and dogs/cats. Occasionally other animals such as rabbits or guinea pigs may be available.

Other shelter services include dog licensing and record keeping, investigation of animal bites and animal cruelty, rabies control and searching for lost dogs and cats.

The shelter holds adoption fairs at shopping centers and community events to adopt out pets and educate the public about proper pet care.

Volunteers are needed to help operate the shelter, work at adoption fairs, walk dogs, and foster pets who have special needs or are too young to be adopted out.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

The shelter is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
