The League of Volunteers, a Newark-based nonprofit, will serve its annual free Thanksgiving dinner at Newark Pavilion, 6430 Thornton Ave. Last year, it fed more than 5,000 people. The League of Volunteers also delivers free Thanksgiving meals to homebound seniors in the Tri-City and greater Hayward areas.
