LOS ANGELES -- Warriors center Andrew Bogut, back in the Bay Area, received an MRI on his sprained left ankle on Friday, a team official said. Golden State's doctors reviewed the results and concluded the starting center is suffering from a bone bruise.

The Warriors sent the results to Dr. Richard Ferkel, the surgeon who operated on Bogut's ankle a year ago, for his input. In the mean time, Bogut is listed as day-to-day. He was ruled out of Friday's tilt at the Los Angeles Lakers and did not travel with the team.

Bogut missed 38 games because of the same ankle between November in January.
