The Warriors will open their season Oct. 29 at Sacramento and play their home opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 1 as the NBA released its schedule Wednesday.
The Warriors, after making it to the first round of the playoffs last season, will play in a highly anticipated Christmas Day game at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Clippers, the team that eliminated them in a seven-game series.
"Four out of five years is kind of a privilege and an honor for the organization," Warriors general manager Bob Myers said in a statement of the team playing on Christmas Day.
The Warriors host defending champion San Antonio on Nov. 11 and Feb. 20 while the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers come to Oracle Arena on Jan. 9.
Other marquee games on the schedule include reigning Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City visiting on Dec. 18 and Jan. 5 for nationally televised games. The Warriors will play the Clippers on national television again on Nov. 5 and March 8 at Oracle Arena and at Staples Center on March 31.
"It's always going to be tough in the West," Myers said.
On the road, the Warriors' longest trip is for six games from Feb. 22 to March 2 that takes them to Indiana, Washington, Cleveland, Toronto, Boston and Brooklyn.
The Warriors only play two home games in February, as the NBA's extended All-Star break gives the Warriors eight days off between contests.
The Warriors are scheduled to appear on national television a franchise-record 19 times.
