OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry's shot of the year might have come during a postgame interview following the Warriors' 136-111 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Tuesday night.
While being questioned on court by CSN Bay Area's Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, Draymond Green was working his way through the crowd with a cup of water to dump on Curry's head, which has become something of a ritual after Golden State wins this season.
But Curry foiled this dousing. He threw a towel over his shoulder without looking and knocked the water cup out of Green's hand from several feet away. The moment was captured on camera and it definitely belongs on the short list of Curry's amazing feats.
"That was pure luck," said Curry a day later. "I didn't even see the cup. Then the look I gave him afterward was like I meant to do it. Nah, that was crazy."
Assessed coach Steve Kerr, "The guy has the best hand-eye coordination I've ever seen, so I would expect him to be good at other stuff. He's a good bowler. He eats equally well with his left and right hand. And his juggling is solid. He's available for kids' birthday parties, I gather ... for a hefty sum."
