A promotion for the upcoming remake of the movie "Carrie" staged an outrageous telekinetic episode in a New York coffeehouse and caught unsuspecting patrons' reactions on camera.
The stunt relied on actors — one of them pulled up a wall by a hidden cable — and remotely operated devices. What seemingly started as a minor mishap turned into chaos in the West Village coffee shop 'Snice.
The marketing ploy was the work of the New York-based Thinkmodo, which has also created videos intended to go viral to advertise "Limitless" and "Chronicle."
The movie opens Oct. 18. The title role, originally played by Sissy Spacek, goes to Chloe Grace Moretz.
